What I gone done Today(Saturday)

Finaly got some welding time on the old girl. Dropped in that brace, cut out some rust and welded in a new plate how it should look. Added the modification to the rear floor pan which will be going in tomorrow. Check it out, tell me what you think.

You difinitely qaulify, be proud. I've been down the same road you're going, there are some pics in my signature that might help you out. I had to do all the same repairs. Good work and keep the pics coming.

Been there, done that. Nice work!
Worth every moment! Consider it "bonding" with your blazer.

Well-built!

I think it looks great, Alexis. You do really good work and I enjoy following your posts. Been down that road myself... and fondly remember fabricating those pieces!

You bet. You're performing the ultimate rights of passage!

Like a lot of you guys, I put a great deal of time into restoring my tub. I've since installed lots of new and custom parts which I consider payment to myself for the hard work. Now I say “Built, then bought, then built…”

Nice lookin' work. I think one of these fiberglass manufacturers should make an aftermarket tub for our blazers. It sure would make life alot easier, less time fabbing, welding, grinding and more time driving, haha.

Do They Reproduce This Piece

Hi all: Does anybody reproduce the support brace that Alexis is showing in his pictures?? The bottom portion of mine is rotted away. It looks like he had the same problem. I've never seen it anywhere. I'm talking about the brace piece that comes down inside the bedside, right behind the rear door pillar. I'm thinking I probably have to make it??

Re: What I gone done Today(Saturday)

red71cheyenne, he is probably showing how the repo rear floor patch panels for trucks have to be modified to be used with a blazer, (I had to do the same thing)

Alexis, not trying to step on your thread, correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: What I gone done Today(Saturday)

Aahh, ok, guess it would help if I looked closer at the pic. I thought it was a rocker at first glance. Jeff.
