Sweet!
i went to the junkyard yesterday, picked up a 40 20 40 dodge seat from a 97, and a grill and a half from a 94 dodge to use the honeycomb part out of all for 165 bucks. i was happy, till i asked if i could borrow a torx wrench to get the seatbelts out. he said, "no, those are 35 dollars for each seatbelt, and 10 for us to take them out". i will just have to get them from the yard close to me, they dont have a seat, but they should have belts. but its been a while since ive worked on my 69, the box is STILL in the body shop, so now i got something to do while im waiting! anyone mounted these seats before? how did you do it? i cut off the front outside legs (they were too tall) and the rest are good, so i just need to make two more, it just sits a little high, time for a tilt steering wheel for more room. what year van can i get one out of??? THANKS, Ben

Doesn't that piss you off? Damn! I used to sneak over the fence at night and grab parts that I needed, for my various vehicles. Of course, I knew all of the junkyard dogs that strolled around at night (3 German Shepards, one with brain damage care of someone running him over - and had a tendency to bite people he knew), and I was sneaking over the fence with the owner's son! We'ed sit in there and grab parts, and drink beer. Then in the morn, listen to my friend's dad ***** and complain about parts missing, and empty beer bottles lying around the junkyard, it was great.

I think any late 70's early 80's chevy van works as long as the ign switch is on dash not on column
