Bought some Polished Aluminum Wheels ...
I don't have a clue on how to clean them. I bought from a used tire shop that looks like they got them from a junk yard. The rims are straight though, perfect balance and I put new tires on them.
How do I clean these wheels?? I've tried car wash soap with major scrubbing, then I went and bought some Eagle One Aluminum wheel cleaner and still had no luck. I have some aluminum polish but should I get them as clean as can be before I lay down some polish? Please someone give me some kind of process or name some products that will do the trick. Thanks a lot, Gil.

i reckon i would try LIGHT rubbing compound (most rubbing compound will scratch them)...works for me...shined up everything on my truck with it. then hit it with polishing compound to really make it shine. spend $1.76 on each at wally world and maybe $2 for terry towels

It depends on how bad they are. If they are really dull and heavely oxidized I would either have them polished by a pro shop or at least get a buffing wheel to put on your drill....
