Thumbs up Got two (new) old trucks today (well, kinda...)!

One is a sweet '69 C10 SWB. As you can see, I still need to install the mirrors to make it all complete. Oh yeah...this one the UPS driver delivered.

And the next one is my real '68 C10 SWB that I bought from bagged74. It was delivered from Oklahoma to Michigan tonight. Sure, I'm still in Alaska, and have to wait another 7-8 weeks before I can see/drive/touch/hear it, but it's in my uncle's garage for now!

Enjoy!

Hehe, does it have power steering? Want to sell it?

Seriously though, nice buy. Just like my truck without the stepside. I dig the baby moon hubcaps!

Any plans for what you're going to do with it?

Not yet. I've got a bare 454 block and heads that are just itching to be built and dropped into something...I'm sure I'll do a 2/3 or 3/4 drop on it, but not into the weeds. Probably go with the original steelies (I love steel wheels). Color? No idea.

It's gonna be fun though!

How low is the green and white truck in your avatar? Is that thing bagged out? Does it have springs and shocks all the way around?

sorry for asking so many questions. If you've typed all this info or have a webpage for your truck, you can just post a link and I'll look into it Anything to save some typing.

The truck in my avatar is the same one - the '68. It's photoshopped! So I can't tell you what the drop is on it. I was fooling around with it on photoshop and wanted to see what it looked like dropped.

Really glad you got your truck, what shipping method did you finally use and were you happy with it?

I used a guy that advertises on an antique tractor website. His name is John Michels. He has a 26' flatbed truck, a 1-ton pickup, and he drives around the midwest hauling things for people (old tractors, trucks, parts, etc). Rates were very fair, and I got door-to-door service with NO problems or worries. I definately recommend him to ANYONE.

Would you be willing to post his contact information. I might need to contact him in the future. I am in Michigan like yourself, and usually the only way to buy one of these old trucks is from out of state. All of you in the southern states have no idea how luck you are. ROAD SALT SUCKS

I don't know if he will haul anywhere, you'll have to give him a call. PM me if you want to know the cost.

That is such a cool truck, I can't believe it took as long to sell as it did. If some more of us had the money that truck could have sold a hundred times over by now. Congrats.

I can't believe it didn't sell either - and the price was right on, too.

When the wife and I left town for a week - I told Tracey that if it was still for sale when we returned, I'd own it. Well...it was, and I do!
