Need help in Southern California!

Does anyone know of an honest mechanic I can take my truck to, who will
fix my 327. I don't have the time to do it myself, otherwise I'd try it myself.
Also, has anyone replaced the wiring with a kit? What kit did you use, and
was it truly painless, or was it painful?
