Anyone ever heard of a.....

427 BBC in one of our trucks... Factory as an option????, I just got the restoration packet and it was talking about a 427 BBC, it looks like they detuned it a hell of a lot, it says only 225 net horses, and only 365 net torque check it out.....

untill 70 when it bacme a 402.
There is a truck at some nascar place and it has 427 badges...I highly doubt it is original, but there is a chance that the COPO made a hand full of 427 powered truck.
None have been documented that we know of however.

The 366's and 427's in the big trucks also had the over run governer mounted under the carb, maybe that's why it doesn't have a lot of HP and torque.

awww man! I'd bet that truck doesn't have more than a few hundred miles on it...was it a pace truck for a race??? I'd LOVE to get my hands on that baby. Funny, but I actually like that spoiler and the tube grill....might have to be careful driving it when it rains though....

The C-60 that I just bought has the 427 emblems on the side of the hood. I didn't realize that they put out such little power though.
