another truck.. and more $$ questions

well i know i just posted about that 3/4 ton mutt truck last weekend... and b4 i could make up my mind, we had a service tech outto work on our house and he noticed my 70 in the gargage and sid he had a SWB 68 GMC that he wont be restoring but he thought had a good bed on it, and if his son didnt want it (just ggot out of the service) then he may be interested in selling... so i went to go look at it last night.. i woulda taken pics buti felt funny doing that with him there... it is a Bronze 70 GMC with a tan gut... upper mouldings only but complete... it was originally a 250-6 3-tree but was swapped outto a 77 350 and th400 trans... he said he had had the swap done by a mech freind of his in 85 and the mechanic had an twin donor so he got the corret painted auto column with shiftindicator (very nice yet) and a posi rear out of it too... it is straight, the cab has no rockers or cab corners (typical), no ps or pb...hmmmmm the intereior is saddle.. door panels are good, with belts and sunvisors... the truck also has nice 15x8 rallys, caps and trim rings, but the tires are shot... i wish i coulda taken pics, but he is a hell of a nice guy.. what could this be owrrht.. the work that was done seems to be doen right, and no mods cept what i said... not high school hot rodded... the bed is very straight and rust free with just some dimpling on the wheel wells and under the taillights... WQHATS IT WORTH... ill try to add more detail as you guys askt he questions...

sorry that description was so confusing.. im was originally looking at he truck for the bed only because its really the last major piece i need to start my 70 swb resto... but im thinking hte rest of the truck i may part out to recoupe some of the $$$... it also has a coil spring rear with what loooks to be a sway bar, there is no sway bar ont he front, i didnt think these trucks ever came with them on the rear... but you all know one heck of alot more than i do... once again any opinions???

My first thought was $1,000, pictures could change things, but I understand how you didn't want to take them. So $1,000 is my best guess.
One question, is it disassembled? If it's still together it is probably worth a bit more.

I'd think the motor and tranny would make it worth $1k. If it's driveable I'd say - and this would be fair from both sides - maybe $1500? I'd hafta see pictures.
