needed: piece inbetween speedo cable and tranny
my speedos been off for a while now so im going at it from process of elimination. bought a speedo through the board, and a cable through LMC and its still tweekin out.
but that weird lookin piece comin off the tranny that the cable mounts to looks like it was hit one time or another so i think thats my problem. where can i find one of these? its not anywhere in my catalogs

Is it the threaded piece your cable threads on to? If so thats the gear mechanism housing I think, you can get it at any auto supply or tranny place if it's a TH 350 or 400.

I'm having a problem with mine also. I mean, Basically, I know this: If I take the cable and sheath off of the tranny and put a cordless screwdriver to the cable on the tranny side, the needle while running the drill. This would indicate the cable is basically OK, I guess .
There is a small gear inside the tranny right there on most transmissions. I believe mine is currently not functional. This gear is sold at any transmission specialist shops. If you go to one, they should be able to get you the part required.
