FOUND 2 - 69's, 1 - 68' today, also about this clock..
Hey guys,
I was out at one of the local junkyards today, and was AMAZED!! It seems like they never have any 67-72 trucks out here, but I found 3 today! I wasn't even looking for them today, maybe that's what made the difference? hahahaha. I actually said out to myself "son of a *****!" when I saw the first one. There were 2 1969's and 1 1968. Too bad they had been horribly stripped (almost nothing left) and the sheetmetal was horrible on one 69, and the 68. (Horrible as in some jackass dented it all up at the junkyard, or....fresh wounds in any case, but almost no rust) What made me mad was the fact that someone had smashed all the glass out of the trucks, and just in general, butchered the trucks. That's what the friggin tools are for!! Use a ratchet....not a stick of dynamite! Anyway...enough ranting. I had a question for you guys. In one of these trucks, there was an old dash clock sitting there on the floor board. I scooped it up, and was wondering if it was original to the truck? I have no digital camera, so bare with me please It says on the back : General Time Corp. Davidson NC Patient Pending Part # 525842 it has one pull knob on the front, and a 2 prong hook-up on the back Thanks Guys
