Busy Weekend

I painted the inside of my cab over the weekend. I've been wanting to do this for weeks, but the weather's been bad. The first picture is when I started on it friday night. The second is after I pulled the masking sunday morning. The third is sunday night. New dashpad, and a cluster that I restored. I still need to install my door seals, stereo, glove box liner, belts, and some other odds and ends. I'm going to carpet it next weekend. I'm really happy with how it came out.

Looks great, had you already repaired rust or where you lucky and didn't have any to deal with in the cab area?

Hey man what steering wheel is that? I like that 3-spoke look.

Paint job looks awesome!

Thanks everyone for the nice words. I installed the door seals, and a new fuel tank grommet today. I anticipated the door rubber being tight, but I've never had to close my doors with such authority. They're really snug. On the bright side. The whole cab feels so solid it's like a different truck, and it's not even soundproofed, or carpeted yet.

You wouldn't want to wait for me.. It took me years to get around to doing my own..

Yukon Jack "Looks great, had you already repaired rust or where you lucky and didn't have any to deal with in the cab area?"

I replaced the outer rockers, and patched the A pillars some time ago.

Big Dave: "Hey man what steering wheel is that? I like that 3-spoke look."

It's a Cadillac wheel. Early 70's I think. It's coming off for a 67/68 wheel that I restored.

It's just an old POS Taiwan wrench. I cut the open end off of it. Got it hot to remove the temper, and drilled it for the Hurst shifter. I only had to bend it a little to one side to get the location I wanted. Years ago I saw a monster truck that had a giant wrench for a shifter. I always thought it was cool.

I've got a lot to do yet before I'm finished with the interior, but it's all pretty easy from this point on.
