I came across an ashtray kit somewhere for the 67-72 trucks. It looks like a factory ashtray from the outside, buy when you open it, it actually has 2 cup holders. Now that I'm ready to buy, I CAN'T FIND it!! Anybody have any ideas on who has this? I think the price was $59

I was just looking at these on Ebay, you can try a search there for them....jt

Check with the board vendors. Some of them carry those. Plus, you would KNOW where you money was going.

My wife gave me one for Christmas. She/I got it from Wes in Olympia. I think it was $48+ tax and shipping.

They are handy, but don't work for every cup. I can't get my morning coffee tumbler in there and most fast food cups don't work either. Pop cans work great! If you have AC, you will have to remove the duct to the left side of the center vent.

The kits come with caps to plug it off. You have to cut the back side of the ashtray face and remove the ashtray "rails" depending on which type of ashtray you have (apparently there were 3 different types). It is a fairly straight forward install but a little difficult to get your hands up in there. I had to remove the heater controls and the ignition switch to get my hands up in there to install.

Looks like the stock ash tray from the outside. Great use of an unused ashtray!

I bought mine direct from Old Air Products. I think they are the ones who developed the kit. Looks good, works OK. I bought one for both my trucks.

Bouncytruck is right....they work great for pop cans....not so hot for fast food or coffee cups. Better than nothing.
