Question Dash removal

Hey guys, I'm trying to remove the entire metal dash housing.I have all knobs,instrument panel ect. and the 4 bolts and 2 screws removed. Help please.

its welded in on the sides and in front at the firewall. you would have to cut the spot welds to get it out

Most folks say that the easiest way is to remove the windshield adn go in from the front. Hope the spot welds don't bring your day to a hault.
(That's 1002).

Best way is to cut it at the dash pad holes. When you weld it back in does not show.

In my case, I go to a glass shop because I am a clutz and I would end up with more than a one piece windshield.

Serriously though, the easieist way is to take a razor knife and cut your gasket lip off and then have some one or two push it out and some one steady it as it comes out of the gasket. Then pull the remainder of your gasket out.

Thanks,I managed to get the glass (front&back) without incedent(except for trim).Man I hated to see all of those weld spots on the lip that holds the gasket!What do you guys usually do?Take everything out except and then paint???
