I need a dash mounted hand throttle (with the little THROTTLE badge) that goes behind it. V8 engine it is a thru the firewall type. Thanks in advance!

I will keep my eyes out for one. Do you want the entire set up, and what year is it for? My 72 GMC has the option, and I am sure there is one out there so I have plans to hit a huge truck salvage yard over the next month in S. Central Ozarks, and I will see if I can set you up, but in the meantime someone on the board may have one.

It is for a 68 v8 with mechanical linkage. I don't think the one for a 71-72 will work. Thanks again

687980Chevy - I have the cable end, linkage adapter bracket, and plastic dash nameplate. I am willing to sell only 1 of the nameplates. I do not have any cables for sale. $25.00 plus shipping.

687980Chevy - Here is a photo showing the hand throttle bracket attached to the linkage. Note the bolt is in the lower hole on the arm with the head to the midline and the nut on the outside. The cable stop is forward on the tab to provide pulling action. The cable comes through the firewall at a spot dimpled by the factory. I would recommend installing the bracket on the arm and then line up the cable to find the location. The firewall pad has a prepunched tab that needs to be removed to reveal the dimple from the inside.

Be careful when cutting the hole in the gauge cluster. A Dremel works best in my opinion. The location is plain to see on the reverse side of the bezel. The hole already exists in the metal part of the dash.

Total will be $27.00. I do not have pay pal. A money order would be great.
