that all depends on how good of a welder and fabricator you are and if you can locate a good roof from another cab. if it was mine i would find another cab

Ouch, I thought my cab was bad, with non existant rockers, both cab corners gone, some rust over the windsheild inside, and some holes at the top on the firewall. I have absolutely no intention of fixing my cab. I bought the truck as a work truck and didn't care about cosmetics, but I've also always said, if I came across a good deal on a good cab, then the whole scenario changes.

First time I have seen rust that bad up there. You could also just look into another top from a donar cab. I would look into that, esecially if your present cab is an A/C cab.

it is pretty sad here in the rust belt...I stopped to look at a sweet 67 (maybe 68) 133 inch one ton duallie tow truck with a Holmes wrecker bed...it looked sweet from the road, but as I got closer, I saw a chain hanging out the cab corner, and when i opened the door and flipped the seat forward, I saw nothing but grass. The fuel tank was propped in with 2X4's becouse there was NO FLOOR back there at all.

its wierd, its fine on the other side. the oter rockers have small holes, same with the floors. The cab supports are non exsitant(sp lol). the floor in the back corners by the tank are rotted. on the outside above the windsheld is starting to show. also at the top of the firewall at the corners are rotted. driver door ok pass. door...crap. Bed is junk (i pulled the wheel well out with one hand lol) The funny thing is when i talked to the guy before i bought it he said the body was good

so it looks like im looking for a decient cab ~300-400 range (i dont mind a little rust that i can fix) in the north east (new england). Wont be right away though unless i come aross a massive deal
