Q:difference in steering boxes 2x and 4x
any body know what the differences in the
steering boxes are from 4x4 to2x4? (3/4 ton) I dont now if that makes a dif.

The mounting of the pitman arms are very different. On the 2wd's the pitman arm is held onto the splined shaft with a large nut and washer.
On the 4 wd's the pitman arm is clamped on a round shaft that is grooved for the clamp bolt. Jim |

also a 4x4 when you steer it it will steer from front to back as for the 2wd it will steer from right to left.
