HEI for a 396
My 396 is begging for HEI...will normal smallblock HEI fit or do you need one specific for the 396??

All Chevy V-8's are the same except the 348 and the 409. Hope that helps

The SBC ones are the same,bolt on.but may be calibrated a litlle different,ive used used HEIs no problem,but bought a $200 new one and had it recurved to my specs.For a daily beater i wouldnt hesitate dropping in one from a 350.
