mine are satin black. I am sure this is not factory but it looks good and is easy to fix if chipped. The strikers and latches seemed to be zinc coated or maybe a light galvanizing. Anyway thet were partially silver and mostly rusty when I started on her. In comparison satin black after a good whire wheeling and pressure wash looks alot better.

I was thinking of black, idoes your satin have any shine, or closer to flat? Darn paints vary so much. Don't think flat would look good though. Thanks

It has a little shine. Its not completely flat, think of cast iron stove paint. Good ol rattle can Rustoleum works fine for me.

Think you made up my mind. I see your truck is red too. Rustoleum satin black is my default paint for everything else so why not there too LOL. I mean Eastwood my have some expensive something to match plating, I just dont want it ugly or leave with body color overspray. Weathered, rusted is not the best either, It's not a part everyone sees that often but the details make the project better !!!

Not sure here, but they could have come from the factory phosphate gray. I have mine painted this way, same with the hood hinges.

I can get them tomorrow if this will still help you? I just have to get home, and capture a pic and do an upload.

I was also thinking, that the striker plates may be body color if the assembly was painted together after they hung the doors? Just a thought

Thanks for the info. You paint the striker cab part and the door latch same color then, right ? Striker bolts painted too, or replace with new ones ? Does anyone have some pictures, this is not a big deal, but if you have time that would be cool. Thanks

We gravel guarded the underside and I thought that was it, next thing I know my dad is painting away, then to top it off a couple of coats of clear. Everything has to be perfect.
