purchase addiction.nagging wife!

How many of you guys have an old lady nagging at you when you buy parts for your truck.I dont want to sound hen pecked , I am buying small things here and there. The small things add up pretty fast!Hey every time she goes shopping I tell her see ya later. She always comes home with something and I tell her "oh thats nice"even though I dont even know what the hell she bought. If I had the cash I would buy something every day for my truck. The little things I do to it gives me wood.

Stay strong and keep your eye on the prize. She'll get over it.I'm lucky enough to have a wife that tolerates my project. She definitely doesn't approve of it,but she knows it's important to me.

I hear ya. My wife hates my truck, but let me drag another project and a parts truck home in the last month. Knowing we have better things to spend our money on.

AMEN!!!

My girlfriend doesn't mind me having lots of trucks and spending alot of time working on them. She even lets me store the broken down ones at her house Now my parents and neighbors that is a different story, they just don't appreciate the character of a old rusty pickup.

Getting out of my mother-in-law's yard! If it ever quits raining for two straight weeks, we gotta get our trailer on our land.

Any overtime That I work ,I hope to invest in my truck. Not in a set of frickin curtains!
Last week I bought a $30 dollar HEI , a gear shift lens $6.50 WOW! A tailgate band decal $7.95 oops! A gear shift indicator Pointer CHEAP! And a BB stove pipe $30.00 Yes! Let me say, I will get extreme satisfaction playing around putting these things on my truck. She spends more than that in one hour at the mall. I really envy the lucky few that have old ladies that love their mans truck.I wish I had an old lady that would take on a second job to help pay for some body work and paint. HA!

Talking Price and PICS?

Since this is the parts for sale, how much for the wife? PICS and better description will really help here!
How many miles and it sounds like she needs a muffler.

My wife spots trucks and writes down descriptions and phone numbers. Watches sale fliers and reads the board with me.
Wednesday night we bought a blade for the tractor and last night a new disc. These are for putting in our deer and turkey food plots. Yes she will drive the tractor, turn a wrench, work on the truck at late hours and weekends, go to swap meets looking for truck bargains and still clean up pretty nice.
She is a beautiful woman and we have been together 28 years now.
She loves four wheelin and we already have our next mudding trip planned.
Today she will help me finish splitting wood and then I will take her to dinner tonight.
They are out there.

I'm pretty mellow when it comes to buying stuff, but the wife doesn't say much either way. She know's I have my head on straight and things get right priorities. But yeah I do get the "look" every once in a while when I start talking about buying things, especially another whole truck.

Get a PayPal account and keep your truck funds in cyberspace....that's what I do. I sell a lot of parts on eBay....90% are done with PayPal...the funds go in my PayPal account...I then use my PayPal funds to buy MY parts...It's to the point now that I only buy from vendors and individuals who accept PayPal...I rarely use money out of my bank account or pocket.
My wife is semi-tolerant of my projects, but keeping the project/parts money in cyberspace and not in the bank eliminates a lot of probs/questions about money.

Wait a second, did I read that right? She always comes home from shopping with something she bought. You don't know what it is and don't care what it is. Sounds great for her, yet she nags when you buy things for your truck? Tell her maybe she could come back less often with her things, next time she nags! I bet she pipes down then!

she drags home truck adds, go`s to swapmeets, helps in our booth, anything thing i need.. im lucky, wish you all had one like her..

come on! we can afford to cut cost and buy the John Wayne brand toilet paper( rough as hell and wont take sh#t off of anyone) just to buy a cheap truck part now and then. The wife isnt as bad as I have been saying , I just wish that she could read a timing light, and enjoy the old beast the way that I do. I wish that she would sit and look at this web site just like NU2 -72's wife ( you lucky dog!) Some of you guys are really lucky to have a good lookin woman that will turn a wrench and help you build and restore your trucks. My woman is nice lookin, and can cook like no other,She just hates my truck and that bothers me .OH well.

I just let her pick the paint color and she was happy.

When the trucks in her spot it's "move your truck"

When the trucks at a show or getting some attention it's "her truck"

I just go with it

Now that she is attached to Screamin it's alot easier to spend some money on her though.
