Do I need to use these with new front springs? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

The bottom of my old cut springs sits on these. Do I want to use them w/ my new springs. They are about a 1" thick.
They look cast aluminium. Are they on all 67-72 trucks?

I didnt end up using them and am selling w/ the old springs.
