Best way to paint new bed?

What is the preferred way to paint a bed? I have a spare Longhorn bed that I want to paint. should it be disassembled? do you just remove the floor and start preping? I never did a truck bed before.

depends on what kind of condition its in. If its got alot of surface rust you will want to take it all apart, PITA. If you can just flip it upside down and remove the tubs you can access it pretty well with paint on the inside panels. Is it a wood bed? If it's a wood bed then you'll want to take it apart.

Good luck

Yes, it's a wooden bed. wood is shot, but whoever had it must have taken it off while truck was pretty new. No dents in body or wheel tubs. Has a filler hole on driver's side for extra tank (I'll have to fill that up) but just faded red paint, which I want to change to white.
