Bed Floor Question

HI All, I have a 69 K20 LWB, 396, 4 spd, snow plow that I want to cure the cancer and paint. I'm trying to figure out the best way to replace a LWB bed that has some rust- I've already got a donor sides, tailgate and front panel, but I can't find any of the major suppliers- like GMCPauls- who have LWB bed floors, or half floors-
SO-
whats the difference between a 69-72 and an 73-87 floor- which I have been able to find?

Or has anybody used anything "interesting" that doesn't end up costing an arm and leg (or two arms, two legs, you get the idea) like aluminum diamond plate, steel diamond plate, etc- this is for a work truck that will look nice, so car shows and judges probably won't see it- except maybe it will haul my Blazer! If you have used diamond plate, are there any tricks to install- since it won't have ridges, etc-

Thanks,
Carl
