tow hook (picture test)

These are the tow hooks I found at the local yard today. I paid $20 for them and got a few other parts included in the deal.

As of now they are not for sale. Still considering though.

Yuck, those have a lot of discoloration on them. I hate to see you stuck with them, so I will take them off your hands.

Good score on the rare 72 only style hooks!

They are 72 only!!!, They will fit on the other years but only came out on 72's. The other style came on 69-72, they turned both ways. Then there is the 67-68 style, both ways

Both the 69-72 and 72 only will fit 67-72 trucks, the trouble comes when you try and mount 67-68 hooks on a 69-72.

THE BACK OF "GQ" SO MAYBE THEY WILL STILL WORK, ANYBODY KNOW.

I'M STILL LOOKING FOR A SET OF 72'S FOR THE FRONT OF "GQ" ALSO.

I talked to jay shy,he`s going back to check the truck out some more in the future. He thinks it`s a`72 1ton.I told him what to check for year, series, and whether it is in fact a NAPCO conversion. If this truck is all original, could be quite a find. One thing,he says it`s got a landslide covering back 1/3 of truck.

Ask him to take a camera and get some pics, if it's a NAPCO someone needs to rescue it!

Are the 67-68 style the same as ones used from 60-66?

Yes, the same tow hooks were used from 60 to 68, I can get you a pic of how they are mounted on my cousins 62 if you want.

Blazerman,

Thanks, I'd like to see the pic. I'm wondering if these are something I should add to the Panel, may not fit though, it's got a PTO driven winch up front.

vtblazer those hooks are 69-72 on the paper napkin on couch...lol.

The first one's pictured are extreme bend 72 style hooks.

Did your frame have holes for hooks to start with.....could be the 67-68 style hooks were once on your truck...I have a set of 67-68 I'd swap you for.

Maybe you have holes drilled for mounting 67-68 like so below pictured on your frame.

Just to clarify things here... Basement furniture.

Thanks for the pics Rod, maybe my frame was never drilled for hooks.
I'll check the 70 blazer and the 72 burb to see if there's a difference.
