I just wanted to introduce myself and say this looks like a great board. I've been surfing the board for about a month and looks like a great place to learn from. I mainly am going to need help with my 71 2wd blazer project. This has been in my garage for the last 5 years and I'm ready to get busy on it. It was an all original 6 cyl. model even down to the paint when I drove it home. It is now almost completely striped down and ready for some major rust repair. Plans include a 454, turbo 400, mild narrowed ford 9", 68 front clip, shaved firewall and side marker lenses. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, especially about some of the rust repair. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for all the replies. The only pics I have now are of the blazer disassembled, so I don't want to post them here. I will start a new thread on rust repair and body mods so I can get some input. By the way I'm in the Va Beach area. Chesapeake Va. I'll try to put this in my profile.

Welcome from Kentucky. I used to be stationed at Little Creek and also Dam Neck, both are close to Va Beach. Had some good times in Va. Saw some good concerts at the Boathouse in Norfolk... is it still there?

Welcome from KCMO! I'm recently new to the board, and it is a pretty cool thing to talk to others who have a passion for these old trucks as well.

Raggedjim the boathouse is not in use anymore. It got damaged by a hurricane a couple of years ago and they didn't want to fix it. Thanks for all the support everyone.
