Pate swap meet- Ft. Worth, Tx.

Who's going? A couple of board members (GSFMECH & 65Streetcruiser) and I will be there all weekend, so drop by & visit. We will be in Zone 3, block 72, between streets 5 & 6 in spaces 934-946. Maybe we could all meet up around lunch on saturday(April 30th) or something for a board "gathering". Here's a link to show the space layout. http://www.pateswapmeet.com/space_layout.php

I'll be out there at some point. My dad has 4 spaces, but I'll have to find out where. Hope to meet some of you and score some good stuff!

I'm not too familiar with the landmarks to meet at, but everyone is welcome to meet at our booth and pull up a chair. Say 12 noon saturday? Doesn't matter to me, we'll be there all weekend. Post your suggestions. I'll post a map of the layout showing where we will be. Red spot on the map marks the spot. Sorry so small.
Here are a few things I'll be looking for out there.- A nice cab, preferably an A/C, high hump, and with very little or no rust; a factory coolant recovery tank; and a factory 68-70 cruise switch. Of coarse, I would love to find a set of white shoulder belts too, but I'm not holding out much hope for that. A few things I will have as trade material;(don't really want to sell yet), 402, brackets & pullies, 72 BB mts, BB fan shroud, NIB 67-68 cowl hood, nice 67 fenders, grill, and rad. support.
What will you be looking for?

I would love to find a sound, not required to be pretty, battery box. And a nice set of 68 Texas Truck plates. And door handles and seat belts in some shade of blue. And...

(Why is this list starting to sound like my Christmas list?)

I'm in the same boat as you Wynne, I have stuff I don't really want to sell yet (truck tilt and a spare rear sport bumper) but have plenty I want to buy. I'm going to be on the hunt for a good tailgate and core support and any other rare options I can get my hands on. Any neat big block stuff would be cool too. I will probably hit the vendors pretty good while I'm there. I'm stoked, and ready to go now.

Hey FirstGen:

PM me if so.

I am not looking for anything fancy, just safer than the repaird and crusty ones I pulled out of my 68. Shoulder belts would be my preference, but I'll start with lap belts so that I can get through inspection.

If I can get out of work (the kind at home too), Ill try to make it. When did they move it from the Pate museum on 377? I used to live in Granbury as a kid and would see all the insane traffic on both sides of the highway on the way up to Ft. Worth!

They put houses up where the old swapmeet used to be. The museum is only the part that was fenced where the planes and buidings were. I don't remember the year, but it's probably been at least 10+ years ago.

Hey Wynne, Mike said that you wanted us to pull an extra trailer to Pate for you. I don't know if he has gotten back with you on it but it's OK with me. I'm ready to go right now. Kevin

Thanks Kevin, that solves my problem. I was going to have a hard time getting the motorhome, the parts trailor, and the '71 out there by myself.

Hey all. My dad will have 10 spaces between 7th and 8th. They are by gate 6? of the track (the one with the O'Reilly's banner). Spots 427-436 if I'm not mistaken. I'll be there Saturday, but he'll be there the whole time. Stop by and convince him to buy his son some cool parts for a 72 C-20!
