Seen one today fully restored and looks like brand new. The guy wants $370.00 or so for it. Is that unreal or what.

There is a guy on these boards who restores the tach dashes, and I'm sure his are more than that. BUT worth every penny.

I restore them myself too and there is a lot of work that goes into one that would be show or like new quality. I spend upwards of 10 hours labor on my clusters and they are worth every penny. I have three on ebay for sale right now and one is a white faced tach cluster and I have a buy it now price of $375, mainly because I have $275 in material not to mention the labor and time that I spent making those clusters look as good as they do.
Here's a link to them take a look and see the hard work and painstaking effort to went into each one of these. Randy http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQ...oolplacetoshop

byrd... dude, good job.
I feel your pain on havin to charge so much for them, it is unreal how quick the little things add up on an insterment panel. I had done a couple...not to your level, but very nice none the less, and was rather shocked to discover what I had in them.
Again, outstanding work.

I didn't mean to sound like you were talkin bad about his price, if it sounded like that, then I'm sorry.
However, when you have a fairly small item that you redo, and you have more into it than some ppl's trucks cost them, ppl will actually tell you that you are charging too much.
If he has 10 hrs into it, and he is only charging 100 bucks for his labor + the parts...that ain't much money for his time. That's why ppl always do this on the side...there isn't a lot of money in it onless you only do the mega $$ show cars.

ne: Thanks so much for the very nice compliments. I take great pride in everything I do and hopefully it has shown thru your nice words. I have had great feedback from all that have purchased one and the building of them is prtty fun for me. It is absolutely a hobby type thing, heck if I can make money in my free time to help build my truck (haven't started on it yet) and enjoy it too, that's just fne by me. I really don't make much off the clusters I sell, but every bit helps!! Thanks again for the kind words!! This includes you too Frenchblue!! Randy

Nice job on those clusters, although I am not a big fan of the white faces. Do you ever list tach clusters on ebay that have the original black face look?

Thanks, and I can,but they are exspensive. It would be about $375.00, because, the kits are costly and or if I buy a used one (and it works lol!) I can do it a little cheaper. If you are interested let me know, I know that my cluster aren't the lowest priced, but you get what you pay for Thanks again fof all the kind words, keep em coming!!!! Randy

Arrr I was bidding on one! But lost! Randy0350 you out there you lucky dog! I think I'm going to go with one without the tach as it looks like the $ doubles with the tach.
The one I have now is the idiot light dash. So even the gauges would be a nice
upgrade. I'll just buy a tach.
Anybody have one for rebuild?
