1/8 Mile Nitrous runs.
I went to Jax Raceway last night and made a few runs. It ran 8.12 @ 84mph with a 1.84 60'. I'm running a 100hp nitrous shot. Does anyone here use nitrous? What do you run in the 1/8 mile?

What's your motor/trany/rear/and tire specs running them times?????? All the info you can provide will be apreciated.
As for NOS runs yes I've ran my Blazer a few passes with a 125 shot NOS set up. Ran two trail tests runs, first time I've drag raced at a real track with a tree, and not a guy on a highway dropping his arms! LOL HEHE! Set-up then 350 30 over 700R4 Grand Spirt 295/50 15 top off, edel carb 600, camel humps, and unbalanced engine. But I ran first run .510 reaction, 8.940 ET 75.66 mph! First time on real track! Hit NOS after shifting to second. Next run I broke traction! Sucked, ran ET of 9.343 @ 73.91 mph, but reaction time down to .409! So I adjusted to the tree a little! LOL But it was with my old motor set-up, I've sense that time upgraded, from a Edel 600 to a 750 carb. I've replaced the stock camel humps, with Trick Flow Aluminum heads, and I've also did a few minor things, but my fuel pump is needing replacement only pushing 4 pounds! So can't run my NOS safely yet. Also I like street legal class, as soon as you get into Tubs and drag slicks It ruins it for me! I like to see a truck make a good run thats 100% street legal. Reumster,check out the engine & drivetrain details in my signature. I have a 383ci engine, TH350 transmission with a 2500 rpm stall converter. 3.73 gear. I run 295/50/15 Hoosier Quicktime DOT's at the track.

How do you like the fuel pump set-up?? I need a new one. I run a cheap Carter. Also are them tires street legal?? If So how do you think your times would change if you where running regular 295 50s??? I wonder are street legal drags worth the investment? Also next question I have is do you run ultra light wheels?? If I got into drag racing serious I'd have to get some light wheels, and street legal drag tires.

Reumster, the Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator are both really nice. I like them a lot. I just uploaded a picture of the fuel pump to my picture page, so check it out. The Hoosier Quicktimes are street legal. They will give you much better traction then a street radial tire. The tread is much softer and they are wrinkle wall design, so they will hook up pretty good. I'm not running ultra lite wheels.The Hoosiers are on 15x10 Cragar Nomad wheels. My street tires are 245/60/15 on 15x7 rally wheels. When I'm at the track I put the Hoosiers on the back and leave the street tires on the front. It probably makes around 500hp with the 100hp shot of Nitrous.

how do you like that lunati cam? i've been thinking of running a similar grind in my 383. how are its manners? another question, do you have any flow data on those heads? thanks

Those drag radials are not a good idea on the street, they won't last for sh!t. And if your gonna swap rims and tires at the track, you may as well have some real slicks for it.

rin68, I like the Lunati cam. It has a choppy idle, but I like that. I don't have any flow data on the heads. Some tracks won't let you run in the street class with slicks. M/T ET Streets are a good choice for street class.

Reumster, you would probably pick up around 3 tenths with DOT drag tires.
