Speedometers with overspeed / tandem lock - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Thought I'd post a pic of a speedometer with overspeed and tandem lock indicators. Where a light duty truck has a temp and brake indicator the larger trucks have these style gas gauges.

So this is what you have to change when building dash for someone or yourself. The red indicators are riveted onto the gas gauge backing plate so you can't just swap them out...you have to change to get rid of the tandem lock overspeed indicators. These gas gauges come in the bigger truck dashes C40 up stuff.

Looks just like the fuel gauge from the Tach dash I bought last year, it also had a different Bezel, where the steering column came through the opening dropped down a fair bit. I would have had to cut it out to use it but I just ended up buying a new bezel.

Yep-- Thats The Same Feul Gage That I Have In My Blazer. I Pulled A Tach/vac Out Of A C-50 & Didn't Change Anything But The Bezel. John

Rod, I used one of the overspeed lights in with my speed warning buzzer circuit.
