Does the rubber channel that goes in the back of the door window track and up over top of window get glued in or is it just pressure fit?If pressure fit what keeps it from working down the back side down into the door ?

They are just pressure fit. They fit tight enough to keep from working down.

good quality channel won't move in the track. be careful where you buy weatherstripping.
