Door latch problem?
My passenger side door closes pefectly, give it a gentle push and it completley closes. The drivers side door never completely latchs 90% of the time, you have to slam it, sometimes it doesn't latch when you slam it. The door seems to be adjusted properly and I suspect that the latch is screwed up. Can this be the case, do they go bad?

The latches do wear out. The pins that hold the latching wheel wear also.
With the door open check the roller to see if there is looseness in the pawl that rides on the roller. If the roller can be rocked back and forth then it is worn to the point that the latch needs replacing. (The pawl holds the roller from moving when it is engaged). Jim |

Anyone know how to un-release a door that is jammed shut? My passenger door has been pinned shut for almost 2 years now. Not to jack this thread, but I've had this door apart from the inside and can not get it to release. I'm out of options. Any suggestions??
