Spindles and cut coils

Here is my truck a while back with new stock smallblock springs. Looked pretty high to me, I guess because they were new.... I acquired some McGaughey's drop spindles that I'm going to install with my 5 lug disc brake setup. Before I bought the spindles I cut 1 full coil from the new "original height" coil springs. I've read that will give me about 2" of drop. My question is, what do you guys think my total drop will end up with the 2.5" spindles and these new coil springs with 1 coil cut....?

From what I understand cutting 1 coil equals about a 3 inch drop.

Yup, 1 coil off the bottom showed me 3" of drop on the old longhorn......your total drop should be 5 1/2" , with a 2 1/2" spindle(well, you can do the math) crazyL

yeah, I can do the math, but looking at the pic with the original springs it's hard to believe that cutting one coil would make that much difference.... Oh well, guess I'll start my search for some stock springs.... thanks for the input guys.

I've heard it's 2 inches, I'm going to do the same thing Purs. My problem is determining if someone has already cut a little of the coil off. I don't want to put my drop spindles on and then have to look for some more stock springs.

When I cut my springs it gave me about 3"-4" and then 2.5" with spindles so I just went to bags. I was really low static, with no way to lift it up for pebbles
