HELPPPP!!!! Lift kit question

I have a 84 chevy 1 ton 4x4 with what I think is a 4" lift on it how can I tell? I know that the stock springs were flat and they were aprrox 1-2 inches from the bumpstops. The springsthat are on it are approx 5" from the bumpstops and the distance from centerbolt to centerbolt of the shock is 17 1/2 inches . The truck has 33'' tires and 16.5" wheels and the bottom of the body seems to sit right about at the top of the rim. I have a 6" lift to put on I jsut want to make sure that this is only a 4" lift on it now. Any help woul d be great since I want to put the new lift on today.

How is it lifted in the rear?? Blocks would be a good indication. If not then the front springs will have a slight arch to them on the 4", 6" will be more of course. By the sounds on it you have a 6" if the tops of the tires are level with the body.
