This is a Q-Jet for a '75 Pontiac 350 in a Firebird or LeMans that has to meet California emissions standards. It'll bolt on but you might have to futz with the fuel line and the accelerator linkage, and the choke setup may not be compatible with your Chevy intake manifold. Plus the fuel metering might not be optimal for your engine so changes might possibly need to be made. Do you have a Q-Jet on there now?

no actualy I have a holley qjet type. and I have hot air. right now my choke doesent seem to work on my holley*allways open*. I had a early 80's rodchester carb on there. but it had to many problems to keep on so I had to put back on the holley. I am just trying to find options. but chances are I wount beable to get the carb anyway. but it would be cool to get a new or gentaly used carb. Ide like it to be a qjet carb.

If you don't mind doing the work yourself swap meets are usually pretty good places to find rebuildable Q-Jets for as little as $5-10. The biggest risk I've found with used Q-Jets is throttle body wear around the throttle shafts but that can usually be repaired with some bushings.
Now that I think about it, JCWhitney used to offer non-electronic Q-Jets for about $170 + shipping. Never bought one from them, though. Brad |

i went with a rebuilt Edelbrock 600 for a good price from Summit (under $300 at the time) and all i did was bolt it on and drive... still need a bit of adjustment but the problem is the time... this one could bolt directly to the intake, it has bolt holes for spread bore or square bore, even tho i did use the spacer adapter for proper airflow

carb
The only thing with edelbrock is after they warm up they get screwy. tried to run one on my 400 . it idled and did great for the first 15 minutes or so and then after that it just bogged down all the times i hammered it. talked with edelbrock and they said it was the timing (bah) dropped a new holley 650 double pumper and no problems for 4 years now.( with no timing adjustment)
