Exhaust for 72 short bed?

I have a 72 SWB 402BB chevy truck. I did a search on here and found that some people run the Hooker exhaust kit 16522hkr which is 2 1/4, but I found on the hooker site that they make a super comp exhaust kit that is 2 1/2 but is for a 4x4 part number 16922hkr. Does anyone know the difference with the two kit besides the pipe diameter? I imagine it would run a different route around the transfer case. But if it would work, I would rather have the 2 1/2 exhaust.

Or if anyone has found any other kits that would work, please post them.
Thanks
Bass

yep your right it won't work because of the transfercase, but if you want a 2.5" system you can build it yourself easy enough on a 2wd or just have a shop do it for you.

I am wanting to buy a kit to put together. The local shops want too much to install exhaust. Thanks Bass

I've seen the good local shops can put together a kit so much better then any kit. The fit and final product looks so much better, along with the welded seams make it worth it to me
