Need some tunes

Is there such a thing as a AM/FM/CD unit that will fit the opening of our trucks. I suspect the opening is too narrow.
My AM radio does not work and I'm looking for a replacement.

if you don't want to cut the dash you have 2 options 1 is get a radio made by custom auto sound that looks somewhat factory! They make an am/fm cass with changer controls! Your other option is put a unit in the glovebox or a custom made console!

I like the looks of the CAS units, especially USA-6 with CD changer option. Not sure what is meant by the I-Pod application for a truck. You mean forget the radio and use the I-Pod with ear buds?

No you should be able to use any cassette adapter and run your ipod through that. As long as your songs are saved at a good bit rate, it will sound fine.............

I still have this for sale. Make me an offer. It is a USA-6 for GMC. It works perfectly. I've decided to go with an in dash cd player. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=147918

Thanks to all for the input. EROC that's a good looking unit, the chrome strip above the radio isn't a part of the radio is it?
I'm going to investigate the I-POD a bit further.

That is a nice unit. But that will have to wait for about 2 weeks before I could do anything.

Yes the black background and chrome strip come with the unit. You can install the radio with or without it. It looks more factory without it, but I kinda liked it. I'm in no hurry to sell it, just thought someone might be interested in it. Just let me know.

I have all my trucks set up with a AC converter so I may run powered computer mini-speakers that the I-pod pounds out the music I want with no commercials. I never leave home without it! Radio delete plates for me! I also can charge the unit and my wireless laptop for total mobility. You also can do the fm transmitter thing with I-pod and run thru your radio. If you wish to learn, the mini-I-pod will read a E-book to you in a traffic jam, unheard of in Northern Maine, LOL. With a wireless air-card the laptop also serves as a cell phone, love this Toshiba!
