That is a good lookin color combo you picked there. Is it going to be a hoodless truck, or are you still getting one done up for it?
The 67 grill with the 70 eyebrow trim looks sharp, I've always wondered what it'd look like. |

yeah i do want a hood but cant decide between cutting a hole tight to the scoop or getting a 4'' cowl hood and paint/throw it on? im gonna do ss stripes on the hood in the orange thats on the side , im pretty happy with the paint considering its the 1st ive done all the body work and paint myself i would have done a few things different though -kyle

I've watched your progress, I wish I could do that good at twice your age that I am . BTW, I'd go with a 4" cowl hood, but then again I guess you'd have to get rid of the scoop right?

Looks great! Personally, I'd go with the hole in the hood. Who would want to cover a nice scoop like that?

Great street racer look.
I think a cowl hood high enough to conceal that setup would detract from the lowered look. A hood with a cut-out around the carbs would look great, though maybe restrict you to fair weather cruising. Tough call on a NY truck. Have you considered a custom, dual, fresh-air induction set up that would "ram" air into the intake, somewhat, while allowing for an oem hood that wouldn't detract from the lowered look? As you can probably tell, I prefer sleepers.
