every freakin time i try to buy something people cant just be truthfull....this front clip i got tonight isnt the same components he showed me before.....the hood is real nice....one fender is real nice other than a dent and the grill is real nice....the other fender has a couple dents we have to fix and the rad support has these ugly ass cake frosting welds half way across the bottom...he gave me a cowl the bolts to put it together...one headlight bezel...some extra trim pieces for the grill and stuff...i payed 350 for it and he delivered it to me....he wants more though but im gonna call him here in a little bit and tell him i dont think it should be more....

He wants MORE? For what????? That is BS! I had a nicer fender than that one you just got....but I am always HONEST when it comes to parts I sell...I try to take pics of EVERYTHING..some people are just very greedy & only see green.

Last year, I sold a 67 hood, grill, rad support, and 2 fenders for $500. They were pretty nice. No hood hinges, cowl, trim, or inners. I think you made out ok. Remember we live in the rust-belt. Delivery also factors into it depending on where he's from........

I would have never unloaded it if I don't like it. If it isn't what it was supposed to be, I would have never let him leave thinking he was going to get more $$$$. If he delivred it and it wasn't what you both had agreed on, either the price changes or it goes back home with him. All in all, $350 probably isn't a bad deal for what you got, not a "score!!!" either though...........Jerry

I have to agree with Bamm 24 on this, He delivered them to your door and you handed money over. Now that they are unloaded you really don't have a choice but to pay the agreed upon amount. Unless of course you want your money back. In that case he could come and pick it up, but since you accepted the initial delivery you should feel obligated to at least pay him the cost of delivering it and a little extra for his time.

see it's not so simple...i met him last year at pittsburgh parts a rama....he had 2 light blue fenders and a rad support no hood....i called him and he said it was all the same....he shows up with this stuff unloaded it himself put it in the garage and left....at parts a rama the price was like 250 for the rad support and 2 fenders or something....then he got the hood and grill and the price was either 400 or 425 i dont remember which...which i wouldnt mind paying but hes like theres the 1 dent you know about and one weld on the rad support....it shows up with 2 dents in one fender ive never seen with bondo the light one i knew about and am not complaining....and the rad support has them cake welds im gonna have to go back grind down fix etc etc....the grille light fender and hood im perfectly happy with...the one fender and rad support im not...

another thing is my best friend is a auto body person and we have a place to use stuf guns DAs spray guns etc etc so he can make this stuff just about perfect but the point is im not happy that he changed the rad support and one fender...

Sorry to read about your deal. I have learned in the past to take my time and have found that most of the time you can find a good deal. I found this truck
1968 3/4 4x4 asking price was 800. I was able to buy the truck for 500 and the guy drove it to my place, all running. Think of your deal in a positive way,
a lesson was learned. Good luck with your project.

uhh....m'kay...i didn't get a chance to really look untill he had already split.....but whatever......the fact of the matter is he switched parts on me and i dont think i should have to pay the price i was willing to pay for what i thought i was getting for ones that look like hell at this point.
