HVAC high won't work
I remember this getting discussed, but was unable to find it after searching. The high position does not work for the blower motor. When the switch is all the way up, it blows like it is all the way down ("off" even though it still of course blows). Other than the switch maybe being bad, isn't there a plug for the high position that is seperate from the others? Or is it just time for a new switch thingy?
Thanks.

The "HIGH" position for the fan uses a separate power source. Look for a thick wire with a burned connector that runs across the top of the intake or valve cover. That is often the source of the problem.

There is also a relay which provides power to the blower when set to high. The relay is located in the engine compartment on the outside of the evaporator box. Should also have an inline fuse on the hot lead leading to this relay. Check the connections and the fuse.

So its one of those big red ones coming out of the firewall up top? Where is the connector that is burnt, or is it the line itself that gets burnt?
I am gonna be bored this weekend and I'd like to sort this out, B/C we all like things to work right And its better to eliminate other problems before trying to find a new switch.
