what did you get done this weekend
what ever happened to Texfirefighter and his WHAT DID YOU GET DONE THIS WEEKEND threads? I miss them.
Well here is what I did..... not much because I had to mow the lawn. I bought some pullies and a cool alt. bracket from Northwest Auto and finally decided to put them on.

I traded my '68 shortfleetside for elkhunter's '68 Longhorn! Can you post more pics of your engine? What color is that and what heads does it have on it?

that looks good, it was a pain when I did mine....too many diffrent curves in the fuel filler area.
here are a couple of other pics, those are vortec heads and thats aluminum color engine paint (dont use the silver color 1400 deg. paint because it looks like a funky chrome wanna-be) I now most guys dont paint aluminum intakes. I have always painted aluminum intakes and heads for that matter its just makes it easier to keep clean IMHO. But I aslo line the inside of my ball cap with tin foil to keep the aliens from reading my thoughts.

Well, I am working on a Frame Off but I got the 3 speed crossmember removed, along with the bumpstops where my c-notch will be. Cut out the stock trailing Arm Crossmember and bolted in the ECE crossmember. Cut off the stock shock mounts and bolted the shock relocation brackets on. Still more to come, but that was this weekend. My weekends are Wed/Thurs, i work Fri-Tues.....................jt

Short68 - what are you using to spray the cab? Type of sprayer and type of paint.

you did the same mistake l did, you painted the white at the bottom of windsheild. That sould be blue. The rubbber for the windshield covers most of it. my truck is yellow so it dont show too much it may show more on the bleu.

Thanks for the tip I will fix it this weekend. I have been staring at it in the garage all week and I have noticed a couple of things I need to take care of plus my son got some acetone on the passenger corner so that will have to be fixed also. Atleast it's still at the fixable stage. BTW the yellow looks good. We almost went yellow but my son changed his mind. Can't believe I am spending this much time on his truck and he still has another year before he can drive. I might trade him my new F@rd for it..... I like Chevy 100% better anyway but father in law worked for F*** and I can't beat the discount on it.

Well, I did my seats. It was first time for me to do this thing. I mean I bought the vinyl and made the seat covers. It doesn't look perfect but definitely better than before

Hey Nima, that's good for a first attempt.I'm gonna waste a few yards of material and try my luck at some covers once I fgure out how to work the sewing machine
I always paint aluminum intakes too. After they have been ran a while,it brings them back to life IMO. Tomorrow is my weekend, and judging from the sounds,I am changing a throwout bearing,no if ands or buts about it.Just what I wanted to do
