i would appreciate if you guys could post pictures of 3/4 ton 2wd's. I have got a 3/4 2wd frame and I am deciding weither or not to make a build out of it. SO POST SOME PICTURES OF COOL 2WD 3/4 TON PICKUPS. Thanks Brian

You can do mostly everything with a 3/4-ton that you want to do with a 1/2-ton. You just end up with 8-lug wheels, better brakes, firmer ride, longer service life, and a slightly heavier truck.

Great choice to tow with. REALLY easy to upgrade to 1-ton if desired.

IMO, most people miss the boat hopping up the less-capable 1/2-ton truck.

Different rear leaf packs, and different front coils / a-arms

Not a tough upgrade at all. A 1 ton frame is different from a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton frame(the rails on 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton are the same part number, even between 4x4 and 2wd!), however, everything bolts up between the three frames.

I did it to my Burb (no factory C3500 )

On the rear, I swapped a 14FF in place of the 14SF, then added 1-ton backing plates, drums, & shoes. On the front... balljoints, knuckles, rotors, calipers. Master cylinder is different, but the 3/4-ton one will still work.

Springs can be changed, but not necessary. A-arms are the same between 3/4-tons and most 1-tons. (There is a high GVW variant, rpo F42, for which the arms attach differently and requires the whole crossmember to complete the swap.)
