How do you hook up choke control for carb?

I have this kind of carb right now. It has nothing to control the choke plate. So I run no choke. The holley (4160) i found has the diaphragm and solenoid thingy on it. What needs to be done to convert the holley carb over (if i even need to)? Another thing, my fuel inlet to carb is on the left side of Edelbrock carb. I have a pre bent metal line going into it. The holley enters from the front right side. What do I do to make this work? Can I just clamp some fuel line hose from my filter right to the carb?

edit: Just answered my own question when looking at pic. Originally carb was setup for 3/8 hose. I guess i can change that easily.

You should be able to buy an Edelbrock electric choke kit (probably Electric Choke Kit #1478). Here's a link:

You may also be able to get the choke bimetal coil from a Quadrajet. I'm not sure if the Edelbrock carburetor is set up to work with this. This would also require you to have an intake manifold that has the passage under the carburetor that warms up the coil.

I have an Edelbrock carburetor on my truck. I cut about 8 inches off the end of the pre-bent fuel line and clamped a piece of 3/8 fuel hose to it. I put an inline fuel filter in the middle of the hose.

Sorry, I should have said "what needs to be done to convert the Holley to run without the choke warmup mechanism".
