50th Anniversary Seat Fabric...Found It!

Nobody but me will probably get excited about this but I found the seat fabric for the 50th Anniversary Longhorn. SMS sent samples and they arrived today. They are an exact match! These guys have everything! It will take less than a yard for the seat inserts. They have the exact vinyl as well!

That is cool, you didn't check to see if they had some of the plaids for the highlander seats as well did you? That would be equally cool!!!

Stllookn,

Super COOL!! Good detective work. So do they make seat covers or do we still need to find some one to make a cover?

Good work. I still need a something to patch my blue vinyl seat with. I'll have to check it out.

I will be calling them back today to find out about the vinyl for my truck and will ask about the Highlander...what year was that? I am sure they have it too. On their website (it is inconsistent at best) there is a form to submit requests for fabric samples which they are happy to supply as seen above. Mine took about three days. I just emailed them a picture of the sample and followed up with a call. Nice folks.

I am not sure if they will do the entire seat. In their literature it states that they do "Custom hand crafted dielectic work to precisely replicate vinyl door panels & seat embossings."

My son does custom interior work so I am going to have him do my seat covers, "refoam" the seat and do the door panels as well. It is time for me to call in a few "chips".

That seat.... someone jst threw a brown one on the side of the road that looks like that. Did not realize what it was. does the bottom seat have the same dimensions as the front bench?

If you're referring to the Blazer rear/Burb 3rd seat Don showed, it is narrower than a bench seat as it's designed ti fite between the wheel wells.

Don, it's blue, orange, avacado and gray that the 72 Highlander seats came in.

Ok. Kinda suspected that. Should have posed the whole question. I'm interested in the springs inside of it. My side bolster springs are broken. Am hoping to rob those springs for my bench. Think depthwise is same?

Thanks! I had a brain fart there

Chickenwing, I'm thinking the Blazer rear seat did not have the same length side bolster spring, but the seat should still be saved, because not every Blazer came with a back seat (it had to be ordered).

Stllookn, Thank you for your effort to find these original seat coverings. Going back to original is what keeps our trucks worth anything.

Sorry for the thread-jack Stllookin. I got a little excited. Congrats on your upholstery find. I'm lucky enough to be able to just buy a kit.

Thanks for the guesstimate CPNE.

Dtlilly, I'll go get it. Inspect it real good and if I can't use it, post it on the parts board as a freebie.
