Question Need A Quick Torque Spec.

Before the gasket sealer gets too much dryer, I need to know what the factory torque spec is for the 1971/1972 3/4 ton Spicer manual hubs bolts. These are the larger, ALLEN head bolts that hold the manual locking hubs on the the axle tube at the very end. There are six on each hub. Looked in every manual that I have and can not find the recommended spec.

Can anybody help please?

Thanks,

Those are the 3/8" bolts correct? I don't know the actual spec for the aplication but a 3/8" grade 5 bolt can be torqued to 30ft lbs. I would think that 20ftlbs. to 30ftlbs. should be good enough.

If they are 5/16" then that drops down to 15ftlbs.

Hope that helps
