What the Hell is with some People ?

Oky one of my parents friends came over to Borrow abattery drill. I guess that should be a clue as to what type of jerk this guy is. Well I am in the shop wetsanding and polishing my hood. He came in and the first thing he says is " Oh this thing needs rims real bad" then he repeats himself. then says " You have to get rims for it thoes look horrible " WtF ? They are stock 8" Rallys. It's not rocket science to see they are stock rims and I am a 20 years old tryin get get the truck driveable for this summer. And really rallys don't look bad. Then if I wanted rims where am I supposto stumble across 2000+ for rims and tires ?

What a frigging dick.

Just Venting.

Rally's look awesome on these trucks, there's nothing wrong with 'em. He needs to get a friggin truck of his own THEN he can put whatever the hell he wants on it.

Tell him "Until you get your ass in here and get to work llike me you can shut the hell up about my rims..." Seriously I hate it when people who know close to nothing lurk around while I'm trying to get something done, and decide to "contribute" by making comments. Usually something like the above comes out of my mouth - then people think I'M the a$$hole.

I drive...

I love rally wheels! I Drive a Toyota! Actually got 2 of them, a 85 4 runner- solid front axels, 4.88 posi diff's, 5"lift, swapped out the stock 4 cylinder for a somewhat beefed up 4 banger, 4 12" subs powered by about 2000 watts.
My other yota is a 01 tacoma, basic everything, just sold the system.
I am a mechanic in the navy, actually one of only 4 flight deck Mechanic troubleshooters. Going for my ASE Certs in heavy duty trucks, majoring in automotive engineering once I get out of the navy next year.
OH I have 4 vehicles by the way.
My chevy has been a big drain in my pocket, and once I get money saved up for it something always happens.
71, 454, th400. The 454 is bored just as a clean up at .010, ported and polished heads, dome top pistons, rv cam (forget the duration and lift of it), its fully blueprinted and balanced, I built the engine with my father when I was 12 y/o. I built it to have a supercharger on it, and produce about 600 ft. lbs of torque.
Anyways point is, is that I know my shizit and I drive primarily toyota's.
hahaha

Next time that happens boot him in the jewels as hard as you can. That is a sure way to make him not say anything more about your rims.

He is probably one of those guys who would try to put 24s on there. To me there is nothing more beautiful than a set of ralleys freshly painted with wide Corvette trim rings and new center caps.

Talking

Rallys are our prefered wheels. They just seem to fit the 67-72 trucks.

The guy sounds like school on Saturday, No Class!!

I have two 72's, both 2wd, both with ralley's. One with Truck Ralley's, the other with Corvette Style aftermarket Ralley's.

I Love Ralley's on both of my Trucks & they are the rim of choice for me...

I've probably had more positive comments on how my '72 looks with the Rallyes than any other single thing about that truck. I've seen a couple of '71s around here with the 22" gang-banger wheels --- they look like crap on the '67-'72 trucks (and just about everything else!).

We have a couple of guys around our shop like that too, have lots of good ideas for my truck then they jump into their little crap box car and take off. Sometimes I value their opinion other times I cringe when they show up knowing full well that they have something negative to say. Mind you most people are great and compliement everything but it only takes one idiot to ruin my week. I hope that guy learned his lesson Mario.
