Old style radio

Does any company still make radios for our older trucks?

When I was looking for one a while back, I was surprised that there are hardly any good ones available. I guess there is not much demand for them anymore. The ones at places like LMC cost two or three times as much as a comparable DIN size reciever. I finally broke down and cut the dash for a modern receiver.

I have seen knob style tape decks at wallmart for like 20-50bucks. They can be used in either a single din hole or a knob style hole by removing or adding the plastic piece.

Original

Kind of on the same note. (no pun intended)

Does anyone have, or know where to get, an original am, fm (cassette possibly) that would have been offered in 79. I'd rather not have aftermarket but want the original equip.

I have an original truck but it's only equipped with am. I want to run a xm but need the fm for the modulator.

I've checked salvage but they've all gone big time and there's not enough money in something like that.

They pop up on E-bay every now and then. If you want one with cassette you might have to use a radio from the 80's.
