I need a generator.

I need a good or rebuildable generator for my 60 El Camino, 283. I am not sure of the differences in them old generators. I suppose one from a truck would work. If there is a difference, let me know. Thanks.

As far as Iknow, all the 12 volt generators on the GM vehicles (car or truck) should work. I know on some of the cars like the impalas, and belairs had the power steering unit mounted to the backside of the generator as an option. I did a quick search on Ebay, and found a bunch up on the auction block.
Here's just a few that I found:
Auction #1
Auction #2
Auction #3
Auction #4
Auction #5
Generator with Power steering pump Unit
I'm no way affiliated with these sellers, just posting a few link that's selling used Ac Delco generators on Ebay.
I hope this helps.
David

I have one from my 62 one ton w/283-how 'bout 25.00 plus shipping? I know it's good,I was using it until my engine ate a piston a few months ago,and it never gave me any trouble, the bearings and brushes are pretty good too. I'll send the regulator too,if I can find it. Let me know if you're interested.
