350 trans acting kinda funny

Hey, so today on my way home from work my trans started acting a little wierd. It shifts fine- but right when it hits 3rd gear it kind of bogs down the motor. I'm not sure I would say it is hitting 3rd too quick, because I have experienced that sort of thing with a metric 200 before.
It also takes a good amount more throttle to get it to kick back down.

Yes I checked the fluid level, I haven't messed with vacuum lines recently to mess with the modulator, I don't believe it is a lock up converter-I need to get underneath it to check for sure.

I am not all that familiar with the internals of a 350 trans and would appreciate any suggestions if anyones got them.
Thanks,
Jeremy

if it is a lock-up torque the connection is on the driver side just above the oil pan.Unplug it and take it for a drive.Sounds to me it is not unlockin

Well I found that it is a lock up converter, but I had no luck by unplugging it.
I re-adjusted my kickdown cable, double checked the modulator's vacuum connection, and found the same situation.

I guess the best way to describe it is "It feels like shifting a manal trans from 2nd to fourth"

That still sounds like a converter clutch problem. The THM 350C uses an auxiliary valve body and solenoid to control the lock-up operation. When you remove the pan, the aux valve body is the smaller of the two. It may be that you have a stuck valve, but it's more likely that the solenoid is stopped up.

Yeah RTL, somebody else also suggested the solenois may be hung up. So hopefully I'll get a chance to drop the pan tomorrow.

Thanks

Well, I don't have to worry about that any more cause I have bigger problems now.
I lost 1st gear today, and it kills the motor in "d", but not in 1st or 2nd.
Maybe its time for that 700R4
