Bucket Seat???
I am going to purchase bucket seats. I now have the original bench seat in my 72 chevy. I am looking at either buying bucket seats out of a 75 chevy truck or buckets out of a 72 blazer. I would like to know what I will need to do to get either to fit? I want to do what is easiest. Can you help? Also what is the cheapiest way to ship?
Thanks, Todd

The bucket seats are the same but the seat brackets are different between the 72 and the 75. I would go with 72 brackets
and this will make an easier installation. The 75 brackets are taller because the 75's floor does not have the hump in the floor at the front of the seat brackets. It is fairly easy to install them, if you can get the bolt pattern out of a Blazer. The console bolt pattern is probably visible because the floors were made with the dimples located for the four holes. We used driverside brackets for both seats to avoid using the latch/tilt mechanism of the passenger side on the Blazers. Jim |

Using driver side brackets make sense. Can I use the brackets that are on the 72 seats even if they are out of Blazer? Will they sit the same as truck ones?
Thanks

The brackets on the drivers side Blazer seat is the same as on a truck. The drivers side allows for the seat to be positioned on slide rails. The passenger side brackets on truck seat are stationary... they dont move... there is an aftermarket passenger side set available for $75 dollars I believe. The 72 seat itself comapred to the 75 seat are real close ... the foam would have to be shaved a little on the top corners to make it look more correct. If I
had a choice at the same price, I would go with the 72's. The 75 seat brackets are 3/4 of an inch taller. If you mounted it in the 67-72 truck as is the seat top would be visible in the rear window ... if it's 67 panoramic rear window or 68-72 rear window. Rod
