What did you get done? Mothers day ed.

Well, its about 9:00 and no Ken in sight so I'll start it off this week.

i washed and waxed the truck for a couple hours while i was in town. it rained on it 20 minutes later . stupid Oregon....

pulled a motor out of a 1995 infiniti G20 to sell to make some quick money.

lastly went out to dinner with my mom and bro.

overall it was a good weekend

hey! you're the wrong Ken!

fun weekend... week actually...

blew the rear end in my 91 on Wednesday
found out the girl of my dreams is pregnant on Thursday
brakes went out on the 77 on Friday, also found out one of my best friends moved to Indy without telling anybody
cleaned the garage yesterday, loaded scrap metal, cut the hell out of my hand with an air hammer and a rivet splitter. went and helped the pregnant chick from above fix her mom's truck so she could move to KY today. ended up being a cracked oil filter adapter, and no can get until tomorrow at the earliest.
today helped my buddy get his '72 Firebird running, and in gathering tools for the project, stepped on a pair of flexplate dust shields and cut the sh!t out the back of my leg

i cant wait to see what Monday has in store for me.

Had a birthday party for my little 1 year old niece Saturday. I ate so much I thought I was having a heart attack. 2 huge 1/2 lb. hamburgers and a Ballpark frank with mac & cheese, beans, coleslaw, and about 30 crackers with cheese spread. Ate in Indy today with the family. Also over the weekend I managed to clean up the K20 and take more pics of it for parting out, plus got a few parts pulled. Also got the 400sbc crated and ready for shipping. It was a fairly productive weekend.

loaned some car body work stuff ( hammers , etc... ) from my work , to pull some dents on my 1982 Suburban starboard front fender , found out it was a Taiwan junk piece ...

kind of a pita , if you'd ask me , with that double sheeted metal with no access...

pulled out some heavy dents on "Ye Old Reliable" rear doors ( each time my girl friend takes the car to the mall , she comes back with a new dent , tell me about a massive destruction weapon ! )

found out that the 1955 Chrysler Windsor I've found last week , whom I always have dreamed of , was already sold

greetzzz

Ken,
I appreciate you picking up my slack. I left home mid-day on Sunday and didn't get back in till late.

Other than washing one of my trucks I didn't do anything truck related. I did clean out my garage some, but that was to make room for some video games that came in from a location that closed down.

Saturday my daughters volleyball team had what was "supposed" to be their end of season party. We had 40+ people at our backyard bash. The regular season ended last week, but our girls will be part of the extended season.

They finished 4th at their regional tournament. This qualified them to compete at the Junior Olympic Volleyball Nationals in Salt Lake City. They will play against the top 64 teams in the country. Not bad for their first season together. Most of the teams they compete against have been together for at least two year's.

Yeah, I'm proud....

All about the "Moms" this weekend...so no truck stuff..(waitin' on parts anyways )

Took my 3 yr. old to his first wrestling clinic...he had a blast.

My 6 yr. old had her first gynastics "recital" type thing on Saturday...she did AWESOME...I was sitting there thinking to myself "I'd kill myself out there!".

Sunday was spent taking a bike ride with the family, went to the park to let the kids play, then off to my parents house where all the guys pulled off a fish fry for the women while they sat around watching girly movies and drinking wine...it was veeerrryy relaxing and they appreciated us taking care of them!!

Put the tach out of my '76 1ton 292 into my '74 GMC 1500, witch is now my Daily Driver. I fixed my light problem in my '74. Also fixed my Backup lights. Put a new tail light lens and bulb in. Vaccumed the carped on the '74. Me and some friends had a backyard party, lol. Had a dirt hill that friends dad smoothed down with a highlift. Then my friends jumped it with a wrecked $200 '95 S10, the took the bed and front clip off. It went awsome. Then my other friends got his '88 free escort wagon out. They had a backyard mini derby. I was great. My friends escort we been messing with finally quit running, not that it was ever good, the car was $25. The timing belt wasn't turning at all. Might have to get a $9 belt from autozone this weeek and get it going, lol, feild car. Anaway hate to go on and on. Well thats what I did. I am typing this board in "Study Hall"

I let my wife sleep the day away, while I rebuilt the quadrajet in my '85. It idles a lot smoother now, and it started this morning without having to crank to fill the bowl first.

Spent Saturday morning cruising the pick-a-part place. Picked up a set of upper control arms and a drivers side brake dust shield for the truck. And I got an inside door handle for the GN. Didn't find the xmember braces I need.

Saturday afternoon I helped a freind work on his '78 furd lariot. We were just going to do a quick tuneup, but the distributor was frozen in the block. We broke the housing from prying on it. Ended up having to rent a slide hammer to persuade it to come out. I'm sure glad that 460 had the distributor in the front. A new (rebuilt) distributor was only $40 at O'Reilly.

Had lunch with mom on Sunday, then just watched it rain all day.

Did absolutely nothing truck related. I went up to Idaho for a family reunion this weekend. Was pretty crazy, lots of people and younger cousings running around screaming. We had a barbaque Saturday night and damn was it good. Ate a bunch of steaks, corn on the cob, coleslaw and salad and a couple of baked potatoes. Got home late last night. Two more days of school and I will be done until next August. Can't wait!!!

Thought you were going to say "I cooked, cleaned the house, did the dishes, and let her have the day off"

I have to admit I did not do much better. Went to church, took my wife, mother and mother-in-law to dinner. Glad that is only once a year. I did not do the dishes, cook or any of the nice stuff but I also did not work on my truck Sunday. Wife and I worked on the landscaping around the house. Would rather have worked on my truck! But we did what she wanted to do. After all, it is their day. Ours is coming.

I went down to Austin for more parting out of our 86 Grand National. Stripped out project Monte Carlo frame down to go to blasting and powdercoat (wwith a Blazer core support thrown in. How did that get in there?) Put the MC body on a rotisserie and got it ready to be blasted. Scraping and grinding of Ziebart does not work. Once it is blasted, it will get Line-Xed, and hopefully reassembly will start within the next couple weeks. The engine is back from the Machine shop, and it should be wicked.

With all of that, I didn't touch the Blazer yet again. However, the general concensus is that I should put a turbo V6 in it, too.

Burned 3rd gear out of my transmission, and I'm still driving it back and forth to school, the remote oil filter will take out any burned clutch debris...I hope. Pulled my subwoofer amp, and subwoofers out of my truck, the rear window gasket leaked on my box and ruined it, and I don't feel like messing with, so I put thoes subs in the house....my parents are really happy about that. Over all, not a whole lot done truck wise, none truck wise, I got all of our racing 4 wheelers and 3 wheelers started, now I need to pull the motor out of one, and get a new rear tire for another, and it just rained today so I can't go riding. Bummer...
