I'm guessing the figure's higher than your friend wants to pay going through a parts vendor (LMC or who ever).
You may shoot an email to this guy: spltwindow@msn.com He may have one. He gets a lot of stuff from swap meets to sell. I can't vouch for him but, he seems to be a nice fellow. thanks for the replies, all help is apprecited, the 54 chevy grille is not currently reproduced..........
the auction looks good expect he has no use for the rest of the parts other than the grille, thanks

Not sure if they found a source or, it's as they get their hands on old ones, they refurbish and sell. It may be worth asking...
