Feeler for parts

Gearing up for the resto on my 87 burban.

Perfect tailgate and dont want to go the re-pop route. Need rust free and never worked on, and dont want dents. Preferable not across country as I dont want it dented byt he time it gets here and shipping would most likely be a dealbreaker.

The crossmember for the tailgate to mount to I know theres re-pops out there now, anyone have experience with them?

That does it for starters..... may update this as I get more into things

I see you're in RI. I am as well. There's a place in either Smithfield or Greenville, Greenville Auto Welding, that has the crossmember you're looking for. Last time I checked (a few years ago), they wanted over $200 for it. I've since gotten an LMC truck catalog for the Burb, and they have the panel for a little over $100. As for the tailgate, I've been looking as well, and as you mentioned, shipping is the deal breaker. I may just end up going with a new aftermarket one.

Be careful with the aftermarket gates, they are not nearly as thick as the originals.
